Got a shelf full of books you’ve already devoured? Or maybe that one read that just didn’t vibe with you? Don’t let them gather dust—let’s turn those pages into possibilities!
At Thrifted Shelf, we believe every story deserves a second chance (or a third… or a fourth). That’s why we offer a book trade-in program that’s as simple as it is rewarding.
How It Works
Love the idea of trading in your books but can’t make it to the shop? No problem—we’ve got you covered with our easy online trade-in system:
- Fill out our quick trade-in form online with the titles you’d like to send in.
- We’ll review your list and email you an estimated points value you’ll receive for your trade-in.
- Once you accept the estimate, we’ll email you a prepaid shipping label. Just print it, pack your books, and send them our way.
- After we inspect your books, you’ll earn points equal to half of their trade-in value, which will be added to your Thrifted Shelf Rewards account.
- Redeem your points for coupons: $5, $10, $15, or $20 off future orders—your shelves (and wallet) will thank you.

The Fine Print
- Books must be in good condition (no water damage, missing pages, or heavy writing).
- You’ll earn 50% of the book’s resale value in points, added to your rewards account.
- If a book doesn’t meet our guidelines, we’ll recycle or donate it on your behalf.
- Points will appear in your account within 3–5 business days of us receiving your books.
- We can only accept up to 4 books per mail-in trade at one time.
- Thrifted Shelf reserves the right to adjust program rules and trade-in values at any time.
- Rewards points are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and must be redeemed through our Rewards Program coupons ($5, $10, $15, $20 off).
