Trade-In Program Terms & Conditions

The Book Club Trade-In Program (“Program”) is offered by Thrifted Shelf, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to provide customers the opportunity to receive store credit when trading in previously purchased books. Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of the following Terms & Conditions:

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Program is available only to customers of Thrifted Shelf, LLC located in the United States.
Only physical books purchased from or accepted by Thrifted Shelf, LLC are eligible for trade-in.

2. CONDITION OF BOOKS

Books must be in resellable condition (no missing pages, severe damage, or mold).
We reserve the right to decline any book at our sole discretion.

3. VALUE AND CREDIT

Accepted books will receive Thrifted Shelf™ Rewards Points based on their assessed condition and demand, determined solely by Thrifted Shelf, LLC. Customers will be informed of the estimated points prior to approval.
Rewards Points may be redeemed through our Smile.io rewards program toward future purchases, up to 50% of a single order’s total.
Rewards Points are non-transferable, have no cash value outside of the Smile.io system, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

4. PROCESS

Customers must submit a trade-in request through our Book Club Trade-In Form.
Upon approval, customers will receive instructions for shipping their books.
Customers are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise noted.

5. LIMITATIONS

The following items are not eligible for trade-in:

Books in poor or unsellable condition (as determined by us)
Damaged or incomplete sets/series sold only as a bundle
Digital products, audiobooks, or non-book merchandise

6. STORE CREDIT ISSUANCE

Rewards Points will be added to your Smile.io account (named Thrifted Shelf Membership) once books are received and inspected.
Points will appear in your Smile.io account within 7–10 business days of approval.

7. MODIFICATIONS AND TERMINATION

Thrifted Shelf, LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
